Awka 2015: My YALLIOUT Experience

Learning is a continuous progress and one cannot categorically said, he/she has had enough and will not learn again. Rather one has to brace up with the fact that leaving your immediate environment to a geographical different location can bring about exposure to a lifestyle or either to learn or invest in new business.

With man iniquistiveness - to be nurtured in a distant land after been socialized in his immediate area and that formed the mission of Mendela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders as a beautiful initiativeby America's President, Barack Obama which has in year past trained over 1000 Young Africa Leaders in the United State of America (USA).

At Kenneth Dike Library Auditorum in Awka was filled to the brim with young leader - Edo, Akwa Ibom and Enugu State - where a Fellow, Nonso Okafor, instructed us on how to register for the 2016 trip to USA for the Fellowship.

Subsequently, over hundred slots were allotted to Nigeria, and participant at the conference were assured that there is every propensity that they will be eligible to participate if only they can be sincere and meet the requirement as slated by the Fellowship.

It was amazing over there at the Library because I had a snapshot with Senior Special Assistant to the Anambra State Governor on Social Media, Mr. Ifeanyi Aniago and had opportunity to link up with some personalities that graced the event.

I learned about the YALLI Tracks which can be studied online for insight purpose and knowledge growth and personal development. I might be able to exhaust the ideas behind the tracks but I'd advise you take a stroll round their online resources to be inducted into the YALLI idea.

I must end here and continue next time because my YALLI experience is rather too long to be shared here.
